Location: The Ordnance Road Correctional Center and the Behavioral Health Building, 122 North Langley Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060
Salary: Based on experience
Nature of Work: The chief responsibility is prescribing chemotherapy (principally methadone/Suboxone) for the treatment of addictive disease in accordance with the requirements of the Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration; perform exams on new and current patients; supervise the nurse practitioner; lead the facilities treatment team review meetings; ensures that the facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. The physician/consultant reports directly to the program manager of the Adult Addictions Clinic. Hours can be flexible, approximately 10 -15 hours/week.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in methadone treatment. ASAM Certified or willing to become ASAM certified.
- License: Candidates for this position must possess a current license as a Physician from the Maryland Board of Physicians. Possess DEA license and is Suboxone certified.
