Healthy Start's goal is the prevention of infant mortality and morbidity through case management, home visiting, outreach and other services for prenatal, postpartum, and high risk infants and for children up to 2 years old. These services are provided by community health nurses and/or social workers. Referrals are welcome from the private sector.
