Job Description
| Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the students health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resources referral to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year. |
Minimum Qualifications
| Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurse (preference will be given to applicants with a bachelors degree in nursing). |
| Experience: Two years of experience as a registered nurse. |
| License or Certification: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Driver’s License Required. |
