Adult Drug Treatment Services Updated: 2.5.08 Phone: 410-222-0100 Adult Addiction Services provides an outpatient treatment program for adults who are addicted to narcotic drugs such as heroin. The program offers methadone (a synthetic narcotic drug) maintenance and detoxification linked with individual, group and family counseling. Staff that includes a physician, registered nurses, social workers and addiction counselors administer these services. Thorough drug and alcohol education, urinalysis drug testing, medical exams, HIV, TB and Hepatitis screening, along with vaccination against Hepatitis A & B are part of the treatment program. Comprehensive referral networks are maintained to provide a full array of services for individuals with a substance abuse problem. Any Anne Arundel County adult resident, who has been addicted to narcotic drugs for one year or longer is eligible for screening for admission. Fees for services are determined on a sliding scale based on family income.
