Salary: $50,000 – $57,000
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, optical and prescription), paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the main function of this position is to provide direct mental health therapeutic and counseling services to community residents, who are diagnosed with an opioid use disorder and seeking medication assisted treatment, and their affected families. Clinic hours are from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Education: Master’s degree preferred or bachelor’s education approved by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners for certification and licensing.
Experience: At least two or more years of experience in addiction counseling or working with dually diagnosed patients in mental health and substance use disorders.
Notes: Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors as a CAC-AD will be considered with strength and additional years of work experience in methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol treatment.
License: Good standing as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Certified (LCSW-C) is preferred.
