Salary: $16.65 per hour
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including prescription, dental and optical). Paid holidays, annual and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: : Under the supervision of the Case Manager Supervisor, this position will perform a variety of complex duties requiring analytical abilities and extensive computer skills. A knowledge of Maryland Children’s Health Program and Medical Assistance for Families (MCHP/MA4F) policies is required. The position will be responsible for applying MCHP/MA4F rules and regulations in making eligibility determinations within 10-day timeframes, and completing verifications on HBX via in person and telephone. Expected to work at a fast pace with efficiency, organization and accuracy.
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a state high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or state entitlement program. You must have the ability to communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, in both the English and Spanish languages.
Notes: 1) Additional general clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 2) College credits from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at the rate of 30 credit hours for one year experience. 3) Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
