Salary: $20.00 per hour
Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Strengthening Families Supervisor and Prevention Supervisor, consultants will facilitate the Strengthening Families Program curriculum with groups of parents, adolescents or children, virtually or in person. Strengthening Families is a once a week, 14-week program for parents and their children at risk for substance use disorders ages 6-17. The program encourages family bonding by increasing communication skills. Hours will be part-time in the evening year round from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (working hours might vary)
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate required. Bachelor’s degree in education, human services or public health preferred.
Experience: Teaching or leading groups with stressed families/families in crisis, adults, adolescents or children is preferred.
Trainings: Two-day Strengthening Families Program Facilitator Group Leader Training preferred.
