Registered Nurse $29.99 per hour or Licensed Practical Nurse $23.93 per hour with benefits
Registered Nurse $32.62 per hour or Licensed Practical Nurse $26.56 per hour WITHOUT benefits

Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including prescription, dental and optical). Paid holidays, annual and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the county’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under appropriate supervision, obtains swab specimens from patients for COVID-19 testing at various sites within Anne Arundel County. This position will also assist with scheduling of testing appointments, provide phone coverage for program phones and provide county residents with their test results. The selected candidate should have clinical experience and the ability to orally present information clearly and concisely. The selected candidate will be required to have a personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland. The position will be required to work day shift, evening shift and weekends as needed and be able to stand, walk and bend. Individuals fluent in Spanish and English encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered and Practical Nurses.
License: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
Experience: Experience collecting laboratory specimens and providing health education. Basic knowledge of infection control practices and familiarity with donning and doffing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
