Salary: Registered Nurse $29.99 per hour Licensed Practical Nurse $23.93 per hour with benefits. Registered Nurse $32.62 per hour or Licensed Practical Nurse $26.56 per hour WITHOUT benefits

Benefits: Participation in the Anne Arundel County Government employee’s group health plan (including dental, prescription and optical), paid holidays and annual and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the Anne Arundel County Government employee’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under appropriate supervision, assists with COVID testing and vaccination efforts at various sites (both indoor and outdoor) within Anne Arundel County. The selected candidate should have clinical experience and be able to assist in all aspects of clinic operations, including serving as clinic lead, vaccine manager or safety officer as needed. The selected candidate will be required to have a valid Maryland RN/LPN license, personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies and will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. The position will be required to work day shift, evening shift and weekends as needed and be able to stand, walk, bend and lift 25 lbs. Individuals fluent in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered and Practical Nurses.
Experience: Collecting laboratory specimens and providing health education. Basic knowledge of infection control practices and familiarity with donning and doffing personal protective equipment (PPE).
License: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
