Location: Brooklyn Park Office, 300 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore, MD 21225
Hours: Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Nature of Work: The office clerk provides clerical support services to the Rodent Control Program staff for the 2021 season, which begins in May and continues throughout October 2021. This position is needed to assist in fulfilling the Department of Health’s mission to control and eradicate the rodent population in identified communities in Anne Arundel County. The duties of the position include answering the phones, data entry, typing general correspondence, filing and providing customer service to the public. The work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a state high school equivalency certificate.
1. Two years of clerical experience
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Ability to maintain effective relationships with community and members of the team.
4. Strong communications skills with professionals, co-workers and clients.
5. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
