Salary: $18.25 or $20.00 for Certified Peer Supervisor
Benefits: Participation in the county’s group health plan (including dental, prescription and optical), paid holidays, annual leave and sick leave. The selected employee may also participate in the County’s deferred compensation program at his or her own expense.
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Program Manager of Recovery Support Services, this position will be responsible for supervising nonclinical peer support specialist staff – including engaging, educating and supporting individuals to make life changes necessary to recover from disabling mental illness and/or substance use disorder conditions – and performing administrative support duties for the Recovery Support Services Program activities as assigned. Core hours are Monday – Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of uninterrupted recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience and certification as a peer support specialist and/or approved peer supervisor. Desired candidates will also possess exceptional organizational and time management skills.
