Reopening Dashboard & Status Report

Last updated: August 4, 2020

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health will continue to evaluate the safety of reopening the county based on the 12 measures below. The measures capture how Anne Arundel County is progressing on the control of the spread of COVID-19, hospital and testing capacity, PPE availability, contact tracing efforts and health equity.

The health department will update its Reopening Status Report weekly on Tuesdays.

14 Day Indicators: 1-5 days = red, 6-10 days = yellow, and 11-14 days = green. The CDC uses a 3-day rolling average to determine a period of 14 days of declining cases. There is a “grace period” of 5 days during which cases may increase for no more than 5 consecutive days.

Testing Indicators:
Percent positive – green: goal met; red: decrease from 3-day period before; yellow increase from 3-day period before
Percent of population tested – green: goal met; red: decrease from week before; yellow increase from week before
