Privacy Policy

If you email us, we use the information you send to respond to your inquiry. E-mail correspondence to the Department of Health, like United States mail correspondence, may become a public record. Social Media Policy

If you have a specific complaint or question related to a food service facility, a health or safety hazard, or a medical issue, please contact the Department of Health using the contact submission form or call the Department of Health at 410-222-7095.

Disclaimer: Posted comments and images on the Department of Health’s social media sites do not necessarily represent the views of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health (DOH). External, non-DOH links on the sites do not constitute official endorsement on behalf of the DOH. While the health department encourages friends and followers to share thoughts and opinions on the DOH’s social media sites, the department expects that this will be done in a respectful manner.

The DOH does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our sites.

Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:

  • Hate speech
  • Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
  • Nudity in profile pictures
  • Defamation to a person or people
  • Name-calling and/or personal attacks
  • Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product
  • Comments that infringe on copyrights
  • Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile
  • Comments that contain sensitive medical information
  • Links to non-federal sites and web pages that have outdated or misleading health information
  • Other comments that the Department deems inappropriate.

All links posted as comments on DOH posts will be reviewed and may be deleted.

Repeated violations of the DOH comment policy may cause the author to be blocked or banned from the DOH’s social media pages.

The department understands that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, moderation capabilities are not. The department may not see every inappropriate comment right away and is trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.
