Sweet Avocado Spread on Toast

  • 1/5 ripe avocado (1 ounce)
  • 2 1/2 tsp. orange marmalade
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 slice whole wheat toast

Peel and seed avocado. In a medium bowl, mash avocado with a fork. Stir in marmalade, then ginger to taste. Spread on toast and serve.

Makes 1 serving.
Per serving: 157 calories. Fat: 5.4 grams. Sodium: 160 milligrams. Fiber: 3.8 grams. Total Carbohydrate: 26.1 grams. Protein: 3.3 grams.
