WIC Services Associate – $28,702 – $31,858
WIC Services Associate Trainee – $27,048 – $31,061

Job Description

Nature of Work: Under the direction of the WIC clinic supervisor, this position
conducts client interviews for WIC Program eligibility and performs certifications for WIC
participants per State and Federal regulations; provides WIC health and nutrition
information to participants; and conducts health screenings to include height, weight
and hemoglobin measurements (finger sticks). Successful applicants for WIC Services
Associate Trainee positions need to attend the WIC Services Associate training
program. The work may require travel to various locations throughout the county.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate.

WIC Services Associate – One year of experience in health or human service delivery and performing tasks such as program eligibility determination, health screening, client referral services, or nutrition education.
WIC Services Associate Trainee – None

1. Completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the experience requirement.
2. Preference will be given to those candidates who are bilingual in Spanish
