Last updated: September 2, 2020

NEW! Youth Tackle Football May Resume, Strict Safety Guidelines Required

The Maryland Sports Commission Return to Play Report classifies sports into low, medium and high risk. It also describes the return to youth play based on the extent and pattern of COVID-19 transmission in the community. There are four Stages of Return-to-Play. Anne Arundel County is currently in Stage 3. Under Stage 3, medium risk sports can resume competition which includes soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, baseball and softball. These will go forward with minimal modifications for safety. High risk sports, football, wrestling and cheer, require stricter safety guidelines.
