Annapolis, MD (June 20, 2024) – Arden on the Severn at Valentine Creek was resampled on Monday, June 17th and the results indicate that the advisory may now be removed.
Enterococci levels exceed the acceptable standard:
Annapolis, MD (June 14, 2024) – Effective June 14, 2024 the Department of Health has issued a health advisory for swimming, and other direct water contact for Arden on the Severn at Valentine Creek due to high enterococci or bacteria levels. The Department of Health advises against swimming, waterskiing and other direct water contact activities. The advisory is in effect until follow-up testing shows water quality conditions are acceptable. We will resample this beach again on Monday, June 17 as long as there is less than 0.5 inches of rainfall within 48 hours of sampling.
