Annapolis, MD (June 26, 2024) – Ponder Cove was resampled on Monday, June 24th and the results indicate that the advisory may now be removed.
Enterococci levels exceed the acceptable standard:
Annapolis, MD (June 21, 2024) – Effective June 21, 2024 the Department of Health has issued a health advisory for swimming, and other direct water contact for Ponder Cove due to high enterococci or bacteria levels. The Department of Health advises against swimming, waterskiing and other direct water contact activities. The advisory is in effect until follow-up testing shows water quality conditions are acceptable.
