Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401; and Jennifer Road Detention Center, 131 Jennifer Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
Hours: Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Salary: $50,000-60,000 per year
Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee's own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, provide direct counseling services to individuals receiving treatment under the Road to Recovery Opioid Treatment Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Working with individuals on Medication in the Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) as evidenced by employment history. Have an understanding and knowledge about the pharmacotherapeutic medications used to treat opioid use disorder. Conducting screenings and assessments for substance use disorder treatment with an understanding of ASAM levels of care and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for opioid use disorder.

License or Certification:

Good standing as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker–Certified (LCSW-C). Certification by the Board of Professional Counselors as a CAC-AD, CSC-AD and ADT will be considered.

Notes:

This position is located at the RTR-South clinic in Annapolis, in addition to serving inmates at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing counseling to individuals with substance use disorders in an Opioid Treatment Program setting or other Substance Use Disorder treatment setting is preferred.
