Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work: Work in a non-clinical capacity to assist individuals with complex Substance Use Disorder (SUD) needs in an array of areas in their lives (e.g., medical, mental health, family, employment, criminal justice, housing, finances) that disrupt or create barriers in reaching success in the recovery process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitation of Care Planning Team meetings, coordination, and care planning of multiple services/supports, collaboration with all team members, and timely submission of all required documents. Provide oversight and supervision to the Intensive Care Coordination Coordinators. Provide non-clinical assistance to a reduced caseload of individuals with SUDs. Facilitate referrals to both SUD and mental health services; provide assistance referring individuals to community resources (i.e., social services, housing, and economic assistance) all according to the client’s needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:At least one year of supervisory experience working in the human services field providing oversight of program operations and staff. At least two years of case management experience in behavioral health services settings. Must be able to maintain daily contact notes and monthly reports timely and accurately. Must be able to provide a personal statement describing what skills and abilities he/she has to offer to this field of work. Must be able to use personal experiences to coach and model effective coping skills and develop a relationship of rapport and trust.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:Very strong time management skills; Ability to work independently and on a team; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent organizational skills; An advanced understanding of the public behavioral health system; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel; Strong skills in program operations and management.
