Job Description
Nature of Work: Works with families by implementing the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Environmental Case Management home visiting program to improve health outcomes for children with lead poisoning and children with moderate to severe asthma. Conducts home visits and provides culturally appropriate education to each participant and family served. Implements the program through ongoing home visits to identify lead hazards, environmental hazards and asthma triggers, teach lead and asthma-safe cleaning, inform families of their rights of Maryland’s lead laws surrounding lead safety standards in pre-1978 rental housing, and connect families to resources. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) |
Experience: One year of experience providing information on health care and disease prevention within the community preferred. Home visiting experience preferred. |
