Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee's own expense.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Under the general supervision of the Recovery Community Support Services Program Manager, provides administrative work involving duties that plan, direct, manage, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the overall operations and work assignments, case files, service referrals and provision of resources for clients to ensure appropriate, effective and economical utilization of a specialized program, Strengthening Families in Recovery Program (SFIR). Such services as expungement of criminal records, obtaining documents/certificates from vital records (i.e., birth certificates), transportation for job appointments, school appointments, medical, mental health and other appointments that benefit the family, community-based services, and other specialized services to pregnant/postpartum women and women with children who are enrolled in the Recovery Housing program and/or the outpatient women’s program. Oversee the data required for the Strengthening Families in Recovery Program, such as the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) and monthly reporting requirements to the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA).

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

At least two years providing oversight of program operations. Must be able to maintain monthly reports timely and accurately. Experience interacting with agencies and other service providers. Familiarity with treatment and community resources that support recovery from addictive diseases and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. Knowledge and skill in using computers and office technology. Capacity to independently plan and carry out the aspects of program implementation and resolve problems using discretion and independent judgment.

Notes:

May substitute a master’s degree for two years of experience. Must have a personal vehicle available for travel to perform work duties. Must have a current Maryland driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Very strong time management skills; Ability to work independently and on a team; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent organizational skills; An advanced understanding of the public behavioral health system; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel; Strong skills in program operations and management.
