Position open to all qualified candidates.
Location: 791 Aquahart Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Under the direction of the WIC Program Manager, manages the day-to-day running of the Anne Arundel County WIC Clinics by preparing monthly WIC clinic schedules; maintaining participant flow of clinics and maintaining caseload. Responsible for training, supervising and monitoring WIC Services Associates and WIC Services Associate Trainees. Maintains inventory of clinic supplies. Responsible for resolving and/or attending fair hearings summons. Conducts client interviews for WIC Program eligibility and performs certifications for WIC participants per state and federal regulations; provides WIC health and nutrition information to participants; and conducts health screenings to include height, weight and hemoglobin measurements (finger sticks). Responsible for managing the Anne Arundel County WIC email. Successful applicants need to attend the WIC Services Associate training program. May require travel to various locations throughout the county.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in health services field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

One year of administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1) May substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, up to 60 credit hours of required education.
2) May substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.
3) At least one year of experience in health or human service delivery, performing tasks such as program eligibility determination, health screening, client referral services or nutrition education is preferred. WIC Program experience is preferred.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual candidates preferred.
