Job Description
Nature of Work: Reports to the Office Supervisor but also works closely with the Clinical Program Coordinator. Assists with all aspects of the clinic’s interactions with Spanish-speaking clients of the clinic, as well as any and all children, youth, and families seen at AFS. Duties include clerical tasks assigned by the supervisor, translation assistance for clinic psychiatrists, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, conducting intake interviews over the phone with Spanish-speaking clients, and occasional assistance with the translation of clinic forms and literature. Assists Spanish-speaking parents with intake paperwork. Works closely with the clinic’s Spanish-speaking therapist and may involve limited case management and special projects, such as the development of a database of resources available to families in Anne Arundel County. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or related field from an accredited college or university. |
Experience: Two years of professional experience working with youth and families. Must be able to speak, read and write in Spanish. |
