Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of an Environmental Health Specialist, summer students will be hired to work in the Environmental Health Bureau. Duties include water sampling, data analysis and environmental health inspections. Students will be trained to perform these functions as well as other duties, such as computer data entry, telephone communications, and completing paperwork. Requires daily travel throughout Anne Arundel County. Students must have their own vehicle. Students will work 35 to 40 hours per week for 12 to 15 weeks from mid-May to August. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) |
Experience: College students with an environmental health, environmental science, biology or other science concentration are encouraged to apply. |
License or Certification: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle; eligible for mileage reimbursement. |
