Hours: 40 hours per week, 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. two days per week
Salary: $50,000 to $76,000

Job Description

Nature of Work: Provide behavioral health counseling for children, adolescents and their families in the Adolescent and Family Services clinics. Functions within a multidisciplinary treatment team and will facilitate one-on-one sessions with clients and families as well as group sessions. If clinically indicated and part of the treatment plan, may conduct drug screens for adolescents. Essential Duties:

  1. Provide treatment services to patients, ages 4-18, and their families, including individual, family and group modalities. Provide case management, follow-up and referrals to services.
  2. Conduct psychosocial assessments, substance use assessments/screenings (including urinalysis) and diagnosis of patients.
  3. Develop person-centered treatment plans and document treatment notes, contact notes, correspondence and other written reports essential to the treatment of the patients, following DOH policies and COMAR regulations.
  4. Coordinate interagency contacts by phone, written correspondence and meetings to provide continuity of care.
  5. Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings as well as group and individual supervision to evaluate best practices, plan treatment protocols and track patients' progress through peer review and case conference.
  6. Provide phone service to the community in order to make risk assessments, provide crisis intervention services and screen for appropriate information and referral.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Minimum of two years experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents and families. Bilingual preferred.
License or Certification: LGMFT, LCMFT, LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, LCPC
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with Anne Arundel County Resources
