Job Description
Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the Office Supervisor, the Bilingual Community Health Outreach Worker performs outreach activities for the Cancer Screening Services Program, including but not limited to attending health fairs, community events, health care provider visits, and health presentations. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting staff with interpreting services for program clients and staff, answering phones, handling mail, making appointments, and contacting clients for enrollment and follow-up. |
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) |
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: The selected candidate will have the ability to verbally communicate fluently, in both English and Spanish. Some familiarity with medical terminology preferred. A personal vehicle available for use with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health policies, and a valid Maryland driver's license. This position may require occasional evening and weekend assignments. |
