School-Based Health Centers have been shown to improve access to health care, student attendance and school performance. There are 89 School-Based Health Centers in Maryland, but NONE in Anne Arundel County.

That’s what’s so great about School-Based Health Centers (SBHC).
SBHCs are similar to a doctor's office. They provide primary and preventative care and additional services to students regardless of the ability to pay.
School-Based Health Center Services Can Include:

Mental health care
Sports physicals
Immunizations
Lab testing
Health education
Nutrition services
Reproductive health care
