Anne Arundel County Suicide Prevention Coalition

The Anne Arundel County Suicide Prevention Coalition brings together a group of community members and public health professionals dedicated to addressing suicide in Anne Arundel County through collaboration.

Vision

A community without stigma or death by suicide.

Mission

Collaborate to improve access to mental health resources and support with a goal of reducing suicide deaths, attempts and stigma in Anne Arundel County by promoting equitable and inclusive suicide prevention through education, community engagement and data-informed practices.

Goals

  1. Coordinate suicide prevention efforts in Anne Arundel County.

  2. Promote evidence-based suicide prevention activities and evidence informed strategies.

  3. Prevent suicide attempts and deaths through education and awareness.

  4. Engage the community to address barriers to seeking help and accessing services.

The full coalition meets bi-monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. Meetings are open to the public.

Workgroups 

There are three workgroups that meet bimonthly on the fourth Thursday of the month. These meetings are virtual and open to the public.
